Our most successful beacon event was a ten-day takeover of the National Design Centre featuring over 120 Singapore designers, artists, and craftsmen to show and sell the best of our local creative talent. Themed Playground of Infinite Happiness, with each of the five floors featuring immersive art installations, whilst some featured retail pop-ups by local designers and craftsmen from fashion to furnishings to food. And to fuel the thirst for fresh experiences, we hosted workshops, and showcases from chocolate ganache decoration, to the hunt for a secret bar and rooftop suppers. Over 47,000 guests came to eat, play, show from 27th July to 3rd August. This time, we featured programmes to inspire creativity amongst not just the adults but the kids as well. This was made possible by our sponsors Design Singapore Council, National Design Centre, Funan, and Tyvek. As well as Keepers community. If you’d like to be a sponsor of future beacon events, do email firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Overall happy with the event. We would, however, need a larger space as we were struggling to accommodate the crowd and the stocks. In this instance, the entire room would be the minimum space for us in future editions. All in all very happy with the organization and turnout. Great job! Thank you!"
"Shopped, played and snapped away we definitely did at Keepers last Saturday! I usually shop for everything online but it's fun once in a while to swing by such bazaars and interact with the lovely people behind some of the local brands we adore... Doesn't hurt that there are pretty installations including this amazing floral wall, a see-saw and ping pong table too. 🙃"
